Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC) has successfully organized a 1st National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Mining Engineering” (NCITME 2017) on 21st January 2017 on its own sprawling campus of 1000 acres. Conference is aimed to provide a platform to discuss emerging trends in the Technology of Mining Engineering. Conference tracks are categorized into 2 tracks with individual themes namely, Open cast mining and Underground mining for effectively handling theme wise ideas.
Papers are received from various sections of contributors including Academic staffs, PG Students and Ph.D Scholars. The conference received 2 papers and are shortlisted for oral presentation, Authors from more than 2 states participated and presented their papers. MREC used the Grammerly tool to check the plagiarism level of the submitted papers. All the papers scrutinized, peer reviewed & shortlisted.
NCITME - 2017 is organized by getting the support from TEQIP funds, for improvement in quality of education, particularly for the Autonomous institutions like MREC (A). Management also supported the conference requirements by various means.
On the day of inauguration Mr.Ramesh Mantha gaaru “Technical Director of My Home Groups” presided over as Guest of Honor and shared his knowledge on various Research Methods. Dr. Sudhakara Reddy, Principal, MREC (A) gave his inaugural conference speech. Academicians & Professors from state of the art institutions like JNTUH, Manthani and University college of Engineering, Kothagudem are also acted as session chairs and evaluated the research papers of authors presented in the conference. Dr. Sudhakara Reddy, Principal, MREC (A) acted as a conference Chair and Mr.V.Narsimha Reddy, HOD Mining Engg. acted as a Convener respectively.
